Artsparkle is an artist-led group based in Leeds, set up in 2003 to provide a rolling programme of events, exhibitions and publications focusing on artists' multiples (small, editioned, affordable works) as a way of exploring the contemporary art market.

Vitrine and Artsparkle collaborated to show multiples by 15 artists based in Leeds and the UK in our venues over the Christmas period - all the work was available to purchase through a mail-order catalogue. Work on sale ranged from £5 to £500 to cater for every budget.

The vitrine displays aped the Christmas window fashions in the various locales of Leeds' shopping district, from the upmarket 'The Light' retail outlet to the slightly down-at-heel Merrion Centre with its stack-em-high-sell-em-cheap ethos.

A full-colour catalogue with essay 'Ego in Arcadia' by novelist Jake Arnott is included in the new Vitrine publication, available from October 2006. Please see Publications page to order a copy.
